There is a day when we celebrate one of the most crucial people in our society, community, and our lives in its entirety. And that is Mother's Day. Mother's Day is when we can show our appreciation, gratitude, and overall love to our mothers, the light of every family.
Who runs the world? Girls! Yeah, that's right. That's why we need to have a specific day to celebrate the women in our lives. In my opinion, a mother isn't only just a woman who has a child or a family. A mother is a woman who takes care of other people. They are what keep our society up and moving. They are the ones who helped in building the place we are living in today. That's why I call the three most important women in my life that cared for me my entire life "mother." We have our ways to celebrate mother's day. Maybe that's through eating outside, traveling, or hosting parties. But we shouldn't forget that it's not just about eating or participating in activities. It's about making the women in our lives, our mothers, feel that we're thankful to have them. We shouldn't forget to make them feel appreciated and loved for the things that they do for us. They deserve every bit of it. I want to confess something. I've just recently built up the courage to buy my mother a gift for the very first time. Why now? Do you ask? Well, it's because I just couldn't bear the thought of her not feeling how I appreciate and care for her. And that leads me into buying a fragrance for her. She may not have said anything much when I gave it to her. But I could feel that I know that she appreciates it. That feeling made me happy because I know that it made her happy also. I hope others would do and feel the same way as I do because I know that there is nothing in this world that could ever be able to replace our mothers and the things that they do for us.
Mother, Mommy, Mama, Mang, everyone may have their word to call their mother. But there is one word that we could call them that we could all agree on, and that is that they are our light. They are the people who gave us life and the ones who guide us through it. Without them, we are nothing.
