She's A Lady

What does it truly mean to be empowered? According to the Soul Focused Group, to be empowered is to reclaim the power of your inherent self. Empowerment is not something that can be handed to you by somebody else. Our power is entirely within ourselves, it comes from within, and it is our obligation to assume full responsibility for it. With this in mind, it is safe to say that we have to empower our women. We need to help them realize the power, the strength that they contain within themselves. And to use this power to rise up and fight against discrimination.

With discrimination still prevalent, one could wonder, "Will discrimination ever be eliminated?" Most people in this society would argue that wishing for anything that big is ambitious and foolish. They may or may not be correct, but it is worthwhile to strive to make the world a better place for everybody. They say that behind every successful man is an empowered woman. This speaks a lot because this could never be more accurate. Women are behind everything that we live for, they are the ones who give life and meaning to our world. They are the strength and love that the world needs to run. Empowered women such as Hidilyn Diaz, Lea Salonga, Catriona Gray, Leni Robredo, and Gabriela Silang serves as a symbol of that fact. Women, like them, are the representation of what we live for. Glory, power, and love. These could be the symbol of empowerment for all men, women, children, and everyone alike.

Women have always been mistreated and looked down on throughout history. Is this because they seem weaker and more vulnerable than men? Is it just because they are a different gender? No matter the reason, enough is enough! Women are more than simply housewives. They are as strong, if not more so than any man could ever be. Take your mother, sister, and friends with you. Women have been oppressed for far too long. Now is the moment to rise and finally be equals.
